"The Book Of Daniel"





1,  Daniel Chapter 2 verse 31 

"Neb's Dream and its interpretation" 

The king said to Daniel "Are you going to tell me about my dream and its interpretation?" 

Your Majesty, as you were watching suddenly a colossal statue tall and dazzling was standing in front of you. 32- The head was pure Gold. Its chest and stomach and thighs were bronze 33- Its legs were iron and feet were partly fired clay. 34- As you were watching, a stone broke off without a hand touching it, struck the statue on its feet of iron and fired clay, the bronze and silver shattered. The wind carried them away and not a trace of them could be found. 36- Now, the interpretation, You are the head of Gold 39- After you, another kingdom, a third of bronze which will rule over the whole earth.  41- You saw the feet and toes of a potter's fired clay, it will be a split apart kingdom it will mix with one another. God will set up a kingdom that will endure forever.  Neb. responded by making Daniel the ruler over all the wise men of Babylon. 

"The vision of the 4 beasts"

Daniel Chapter 7 verse 1 

The 1st beast was a lion, but had eagle wings. I con't. watching and its wings were torn off. It was lifted up from the ground, and set on its feet like a man. The 2nd beast was like a bear, it was raised up on one side and it had 3 ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was said to get up! Gorge yourself on flesh. 6- The 3rd beast like a leopard with 4 wings of a bird in its back. It had 4 heads and was given great dominion. The 4th beast was frightening and very strong with large teeth like iron. It crushed and devoured whatever was left. It had 10 horns. 

"The vision's interpretation"

Daniel was distressed and terrified. 19- The 4th best raged war against the holy ones. It will devour the whole earth and crush it. Another kingdom will rise after them, and will oppress the Most high and intend to change the festivals and laws the holy ones will be handed over to him for a time, times an a half(3 years) The kingdom will be great and reign forever with the most high. 

"The vision of the Ram and Goat"

Daniel Chapter 8 verse 3 

I looked up and saw a ram standing beside the canal he had 2 horns one was longer than the other one. 4- I saw it charging to the west north and south No animal could stand against him. 

5- The male goat appeared and had a visible horn between his eyes. He came toward the goat and rushed at him with fury. 7-I saw him strike the ram and break 2 horns the ram wasn't strong enough to stand against him. 8- The male goat is more arrogant and becomes more powerful. 

"The little horn"

Daniel Chapter 8 verse 9 

The little horn came toward  the south 10-It grew as high as the heavenly army 13-The holy one said to me, "For 2,300 evenings the sanctuary will be restored." 

"The interpretation" 

17- Gabriel appeared 20- The 2 horned ram was Persia 21- the shaggy goat was Greece.  23- A ruthless king will come and his power will be great. 24  25-He will cause great deceit and be cunning and destroy many in a time of peace, he will stand against the prince of Princes. 

"70 weeks"

Daniel Chapter 9 verse 24  70 weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city to bring an end to sin. 25- From issuing this decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Good One will be 7 weeks and 62 weeks. it will be rebuilt. 26- After 62 weeks the Anointed ones will be cut off and will have nothing.  The city will be flooded and there will be war. 27- He will make a decree with many for one week but in the middle of the week he will put a sacrifice a offering and the abomination of desolation will be a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out and on the evil one.


Daniel Chapter 2 verse 26 Commentary"

Neb's dream"

Behold a great image of different materials Gold, Silver, Bronze, partly of clay broke into pieces, What was left and blown away by the wind. 1.The head was Babylon Gold Persia Sliver and 3.Greece was brass and 4. Rome was iron. 5.The stone cut from the ground without hands was God's kingdom. 

The 3rd kingdom was bronze and it was Alexander the great of Greece. The Babylon Empire stood for 66 years. Media-Persia for 208 years Greece 188 years and Rome 500 years. God will set up his kingdom that won't be destroyed. The statue broke into pieces this reps. man's rule on earth, Since the church or the gospel hasn't shattered. This is a future event. Daniel Chapter 7 verse 4 

The 4 beasts commentary"

1. Lion is Babylon 

2. Bear is Persia  that will devour all. 

3. Leopard is Greece  Alexander the Great conquered all by 28, and died quickly. 

4. The 4th beast was horrific  the 10 horns were a fulfillment of the Roman Empire and will change laws. 

15-Daniel didn't understand what he saw. 


"The Ram and Goat Commentary'

Daniel Chapter 8 verse 3 

The ram with two horns is Persia. Pushing westward, north, south, and west The Media-Persia empire showed off their power. 

"The ram challenges the goat"

verses 5-8

The male goat was Greece and it not touching the ground was an accurate descriptor. of Greece and Persia they hated each other. 

The Male Goat was great it had power over the people and culture. 

"The little horn commentary"

Daniel Chapter 8 verse 9  The little horn will have dominion over the west, south, and east toward Israel. He will oppose God and trample them. He will desecrate the temple. The duration of the destruction will be 2,300 evenings 7 years. The Antichrist will have great power and evil.

"70 weeks Commentary"

Daniel Chapter 9 verse 21 70 weeks is 7 years.  The holy people are the Jews and the holy city is Jerusalem. What will happen after 70 weeks? 1. Finish the transgression and est. a new order on earth and end man's rebellion. Man's iniquity must be reconciled with God's holiness. To seal up the prophecy. 

There will be 70 weeks and 62 weeks. A unit of 70 weeks is 7 years. The rebuilding of the temple will happen in 70 weeks. Then would follow another 62 weeks, followed by Jesus return. 

The 70 weeks are broken up into 3 parts 

1. seven weeks is 49 years 

2. 69 weeks plus 2 is 483 years from decree until Jesus appears.

3. Final 70th week to complete the prophecy 

After the first 69 weeks Jesus will be cut off for the sake of others. The city shall flood this as a prophecy of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem AD 70.

"Freedom Lessons"

  Colleen, and her husband, Miguel live in a small southern town in 1969, Jim Crow era.  Colleen teaches at the local secondary school which is all black, which a poor school that lacks funding, and resources for the students. Colleen tries to do her best, for the students. For example, she creates a reading program for the students. She realizes that none of her students have library cards, so she stops by the library to pick up some applications for her students. When she enters the library, she is greeted by a young white librarian, Colleen says she is there to pick up some library card applications for her and her  students, the young woman says "Of course"  She goes to get them.
