"Trust Me"

by Kelly Irvin

Book Review

"Partners in Crime Book Tours"

10 years ago, the reader is introduced to Delaney Broward at her worst moment in life, when her brother is killed, and she must come up terms with it. She picks up the pieces and tries to get along in life, but she is hit with tragedy again when her best friend is killed too. she can't catch a break. The cop on the case comes on the scene asking questions and trying to find the answers. Delaney says she will too. But the reader is introduced to another variable, Hunter, Delaney's ex, he's out of jail and ready to live life as a free man. But of course, the cop shows up again, and ruins that by pining the murder on him without evidence. So, Hunter shows up at Delaney's house and offers to help. Can she trust him? The reader is taken on a journey of real and raw truth, and missteps and moments of hope, and honesty which is why this author is a great one. She gives the reader characters that are like real people, imperfect and flawed and lets them fall and get back up and lets the dust settle. The author's thesis of this story is really not about the killer, it is about finding redemption.

  1. Thanks so much for the review. I read this one and really liked it. I liked that it was not heavy on the suspense side - it made for a nice read.
