"The Bleeding Woman"

Mark Chapter 5 verse 21
A woman who had been hemorrhaging for 12 years 26- and had endured much at the hands of physicians and spent all she had and was not helped rather grew worse 27- After hearing about Jesus she touched his cloak and 29-The flow of blood stopped and she felt in her body was healed of her affliction. 30-Jesus preceving power went out of him Who touched my garments? 31- Who touched me? 32- He looked around to see 33- The woman fearing and trembling aware of what to her told him the whole truth. 34- He said "Your faith has made you well Go in peace and be healed of your affiliation."

Commentary
A woman who had been hemorrhaging 12 years
"This woman who was in desperate condition, made her unclean if the woman touched anyone." By law she was divorced from her husband." No contact with friends."
26- Endured at the hands of physicians
"Spent all she had at the doctor but got worse."
27- Touched Jesus cloak
28-The flow of blood stopped
She was healed of her affliction."
30- Jesus power went out of him who touched My Garment?
"From his strong body, Jesus felt the transfer of healing to the woman's diseased shell." 33- The woman aware of what happened told Him the truth

"Menstruation- is the shedding of the lining of the uterus. this occurs 28 to 45 days. Lasts 7 to 8 days. " During menstruation there are contractions of the uterus. The first period occurs after ovulation. This is normal for most women. But the Bleeding Woman bled for 12 years.So, what condition did she have? What could have caused this to go for so long and no one in the medical field knows what to do to help? It was the first century.
She most likely had a condition called Menorragia or heavy bleeding- Prolonged menstrual bleeding. The symptoms are soaking through pads, and bleeding more than 1 week, and passing clots the size of a quarter." The treatment for this was a blood test and Pap test to check for cells that would be inflamed." This is the most common condition reported by women today. Ages 18-45. 27% of women report it." The number rises over age 45 to 75%.
