"What Remains True"

Book Review

Travelling Pages

I  really enjoyed Merry Anna's story, she is a young divorced woman who is trying to be as independent from her family and her family's business  and her ex husband as she can be. She is living in the small town of Antler Creek while also running a gift shop. Her life is going well, when she meets Adam, a bull rider and a cook. They form a friendship that turns into more, and suddenly she falls for him despite saying throughout the book, "I will never do that again" She opens herself up to love, and she safe within that love for a while.  Meanwhile, the reader learns that Adam has a child with a fellow bull rider. His life is turned upside down, and thus they try to manage being a family. Something Adam never thought he ever wanted. His life was his work, and now his life is his child. Adam's character starts to grow and learns to be a father while, making mistakes and bull riding too.  Meanwhile, Merry is also learning and growing as well. Each on their own journeys to find out what the future holds? Will they end up together? What journey will life lead them on? I really liked how it all ended up. I really like Ms. Naigle's writing and I highly recommend this novel it was great.
