The Struggle is Real Tyndale Book Review Network
Part One "The Struggle between the Stories" "I believe that God has written a story line for each of us that integrates all of the random and frustrating and confusing struggles both little and big into a life of wholeness and purpose." "I believe in the power of God to change our lives and to untangle the confused plot-lines in the deepest part of us." ( page 3 Unice)
"And it's in the very places Where the struggle is real in your life-the striving, the worry, the restlessness, the discouragement that you can discover the truth of who He is (God) and the story He (God) wants to write in your life." Uncie, p. 3).
"In every moment, between every line, choose freedom, and choose redemption. Jesus is the one who points to a new story." Unice, p. 250.)
Every Christian struggles with something whether it be perfection, worry, stress, or shame. The point is we struggle. Ms. Uncie, is right it is OK to struggle, to not know the answer. Maybe not ever know the answer. Sometimes, the answer is not even the one we expected, but that is OK. I think anyone who has struggled in their life will relate to this great book. Ms. Unice, lets the reader know that struggle is not shameful. Struggle is OK because God is there with us to help us heal and repair our brokenness. I believe that when we as Christians struggle, we think God is far way and it will never get better, but in truth, it will. We must not give up. God is on the other side with open arms. The thesis of this book is Although struggle will happen in life, His mercies are new each morning.
