"The Crucifixion and Easter"

John Chapter 19 verse 16- They took Jesus away. 17-Carrying the cross himself, he went out to what is called the place of the skull. 18- There they crucified him. between two criminals and two others with him. One on either side, and Jesus in the middle.  23- When the soldiers crucified Jesus they took his clothes and divided them into 4 parts a part for each soldier. They also took the tunic which was seamlessly woven in one piece from the top. 24- So they said let's not tear it, but cast lots to see who gets it.

"The finished work of Jesus" John Chapter 19  verse 28-"I am thirsty. A jar full of sour wine was sitting there, so they fixed a sponge full of sour wine on a hyssop branch(an antiseptic) and held it to his mouth. 30- When he had received the sour wine, he said "It is finished" Then bowing his head he gave up his spirit.

"Jesus side pierced"

31- Since it was the preparation day, the Jews did not want the bodies to remain on the cross on the Sabbath, beginning Friday at sunset. They requested Pilate have the men's legs broken and their bodies be taken away. 32- So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the 1st man, and the other one who has been crucified with him. 33- When they came to Jesus, they did not break his legs since they saw he was already dead. 34- But one of the soldiers pierced his side and all at once all the blood and water came out.

(Christian Standard Translation)

They carried his body and sealed the tomb.
