Ava Jackson's life is carefully controlled and kept safe and quiet until, she leaves the Navy, to care for her mother in a nursing home and is attacked while leaving. Who is trying to kill her? And why is it connected to her father who she believes didn't "pass away" Thus, she is on a mission to find out who and why. She is searching throughout this novel, for answers to her fathers disappearance, and for herself. If she can just find her father and then, maybe she will finally have her world fixed. But the more she uncovers and the more she digs in, Is she next? Is it worth it to her when it finally comes together? This why is Ms. Eason is a great writer and storyteller. I loved this story because it is honest, real, and true to real life and real life stories.
