There is a reason

There is a reason  I do not go to bars

There is a reason I do not think of New Year's Eve
the same way you do

There is a reason I carry the load of my father's mistakes

There is a reason I am wound up

There is a reason  why I carry the pain  I keep close

There is a reason I  do not trust

There is a reason I am in no hurry to follow the same path
my father did

There is a reason  I am quick to judge

There is a reason I take on the world and come up short

There is a reason I do not have lots of friends

There is a reason I pray for peace

There is a reason I hold on

There is a reason
